Sunday was a party day in the unique and vibrant Amsterdam North Hotel de Goudfazant. The expansive industrial building was formerly a car garage and is located on the Ij waterfront in Amsterdam.

Decorating such a large and industrial space would be no small feat for this special 70th birthday event, but was just another day for the organiser, the charming artist Dorine de Vos, along with her sister.

We filled 40 small vases for the tables, 3 large arrangements ran alongside the windows and 2 extra large arrangements (which only the strongest man can carry!) sat in matte black hand-painted pots on the bar, so the 140 guests could dine and socialise and celebrate the guest of honour surrounded by flowers. It was a gorgeous contrast of nature and industrial!
