Tatum & Yanic’s wedding was like walking into a dream. The location was inside a greenhouse called Arendshoeve, and they aptly name themselves ‘The Garden of Amsterdam’. Green as far as the eye can see, and the glass roof allowed guests to gaze up into the heavens! The light indoors was a photographer’s dream, perfectly bathing all the detail that was designed to make this day unique. Every area was lovingly considered.
The wedding was separated into several indoor spaces, which gave the feeling of being outdoors, due to the location’s investment in botanicals. Dozens of plants were suspended from the rooftops, and nature sprawled across so many of the surfaces to create backdrops that were a base that influenced the feeling of our florals. Fresh and modern greens and whites.
The ceremony backdrop contained suspended Edison lights, combined with the lushest white flowers - the key stars played by peonies, phalaenopsis orchids and hortensia. We created floral gardens ranging from individual aisleway ‘islands’, through to nine meter long gardens that encircled the fish pond, that lay in front of the bride and groom, as they proclaimed their vows of love.
The bridesmaids wore gorgeous matching taupe-coloured gowns and chose simple and elegant bouquets of white gypsophila.
Later, live music played, and guests were surprised with a rolling kitchen festival dinner, with food trucks offering all of Tatum and Yanic’s favourite meals. It was a feast for every sense.
Thank you to all of our favourite vendors who worked tirelessly together under the one roof, to create magic for a day. We couldn’t be happier with the result. Congratulations Tatum & Yanic!
